Retail Department Supervisor

About the role

The Department Supervisor supports sales and profit goals by delivering an excellent customer experience across the department and the wider store. You will ensure compliance with H&M standards, policies, and legal requirements while leading your team to meet commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer sales and profit by curating visual and commercial presentation according to global guidelines.
• Promote the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions and encourage use of the Hello Member loyalty app.
• Identify commercial opportunities, work with the Department Manager, and ensure correct fitting‑room and checkout routines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with fashion trends, competitors, and influencers, and share product knowledge with the team.
• Develop and motivate team members, provide feedback, and lead regular communication meetings.
• Maintain a clean sales floor, ensure high‑quality visual merchandising, and manage stock levels and allocation.
• Oversee in‑store omni‑channel services such as Instore Care App, Click & Collect, and Smart Store tools.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on delivering the best shopping experience.
• Ability to analyze department performance, identify opportunities, and act on them.
• Leadership skills to coach, motivate, and develop store colleagues.
• Good knowledge of current fashion trends and the retail market.
• Attention to detail in visual merchandising, stock management, and compliance with procedures.
