Quality Engineer

About the role

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage and improve its Quality Management System (QMS) across the plant. You will work closely with operations, suppliers and customers to ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance and drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement corrective action programs to eliminate product non‑conformances.
• Drive rapid closure of customer quality issues and embed lessons learned into processes.
• Maintain full ISO 9001:2015 compliance for all approved processes.
• Create and update quality documentation, including control plans, procedures and work instructions.
• Resolve internal and supplier‑related quality issues that affect operations or customers.
• Provide training to quality and operations personnel as needed.
• Lead quality improvement projects and root‑cause analyses to meet business quality targets.
• Analyze external customer quality concerns and generate trend‑based improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
• Proven project‑management and quantitative analysis abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong presentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative team player capable of influencing at all levels.
