Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure product excellence across the lifecycle, acting as the bridge between factories, R&D, purchasing and marketing. The role is based in Portugal and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quality tools such as FMEA in product development projects.
• Track and drive project maturity levels and support safe launch activities.
• Conduct process audits and monitor quality performance, including error rates and cost of quality.
• Identify quality risks, implement corrective actions and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives for new and existing products.
• Report quality metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on quality management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with IATF 16949 is a plus.
• Familiarity with APQP/Stage‑Gate processes.
• Fluent English communication skills.
