Quality Engineer – Audit Management (Aviation MRO)

About the role

Join a pioneering MRO facility near Porto and help shape the future of aviation maintenance. As a Quality Engineer focused on Audit Management, you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, drive continuous improvement, and support the launch of a state‑of‑the‑art repair operation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise internal, external and desktop audits.
• Maintain audit records, track corrective actions and provide status reports to management.
• Organise supplier and contractor oversight, including FOD program supervision.
• Investigate root causes, follow up on corrective actions and monitor cost of non‑quality.
• Review regulations (EASA Part 145, ISO 9100/9110) and propose implementation guidance.
• Support aviation authority approvals and respond to internal queries.
• Prepare and deliver training materials and sessions.
• Utilise audit IT tools (q/star, q/scan, ProX) and MS Office for all related tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in audit management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Proven knowledge of root‑cause analysis, EASA Part 145 and ISO 9100/9110.
• Ability to work in a team, plan complex processes and travel on short‑term assignments.
• Resilience to stress, high workload and conflict management skills.
