QC Laboratory Technician

About the role

Lilly is seeking a QC Laboratory Technician to support critical microbiological testing that ensures the safety and quality of medicines. The role involves performing a variety of assays on raw materials, finished products, water, and environmental samples while adhering to strict regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and verify microbiological assays on raw material, final product, water, and environmental monitoring samples.
• Identify microorganisms, promote growth, conduct electrophoresis, and detect phages in accordance with established standards.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as pH meters, analytical balances, and other analytical instruments.
• Prepare culture media, conduct filtration procedures, and document results accurately.
• Work rotating 24/7 shifts to support continuous laboratory operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or associate degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, Natural Sciences, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Minimum two years of experience in a laboratory or related environment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage time effectively, and collaborate productively with team members.
