QA Engineer

About the role

Air Apps, a family-founded company building an AI-powered Personal & Entrepreneurial Resource Planner, is hiring a QA Engineer for a fully onsite position at its Lisbon office. The role ensures the quality, reliability and performance of mobile applications, focusing on robust automated tests and strong API testing, while still doing hands-on functional validation when needed. It works closely with developers, product managers and designers to find issues early and build scalable testing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on web and mobile apps to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Run API tests and automation with Postman, and maintain Postman documentation.
• Create and run automated regression, functional, performance and API tests.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts.
• Document and report bugs and work with developers to fix them.
• Validate product requirements against test results and identify edge cases, inconsistencies and performance issues.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and give structured feedback.
• Maintain test documentation and share QA best practices.

Required profile

• Around 3+ years of experience in manual and functional testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types and best practices.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Ability to work in an agile environment and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Test case management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr or Xray.
• Test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium or Playwright.
• Programming in Python, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Bug tracking systems such as Jira, Trello or Bugzilla.
• API testing with Postman.
