QA Engineer

About the role

Air Apps, a Lisbon-founded company building an AI-powered personal and entrepreneurial resource planner, is looking for a QA Engineer. You will ensure the quality, reliability and performance of its mobile applications by building robust automated tests and strengthening API testing, while still doing hands-on functional validation. You will work closely with developers, product managers and designers to detect bugs early, expand test coverage and implement scalable testing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications
• Run API tests and automation with Postman, and maintain Postman documentation
• Create and run automated regression, functional, performance and API tests
• Develop test plans, test cases and test scripts
• Document and report bugs and validate features against requirements
• Identify edge cases, inconsistencies and performance issues
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and give structured feedback
• Maintain test documentation and share QA best practices

Required profile

• Around 3+ years of experience in manual and functional testing
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types and best practices
• Experience testing web and mobile apps (iOS and Android)
• Attention to detail and strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities

Required skills

• Test case management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr or Xray
• Test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium or Playwright
• Programming in Python, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Bug tracking systems such as Jira, Trello or Bugzilla
• API testing with Postman
