QA Engineer – French Speaker (Automation Testing)

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking a French‑speaking QA Engineer to lead automation testing initiatives for its clients in sectors such as banking, insurance, automotive and telecommunications. You will design, develop and maintain automated GUI test scripts while collaborating closely with business analysts and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (Java), WebdriverIO (JavaScript) and Node.js.
• Write BDD scenarios in Gherkin and implement them with Cucumber.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Gitlab CI.
• Set up and maintain test environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Define automation strategies, estimate effort and assess technical feasibility through POCs.
• Participate in "3 amigos" sessions to translate business requirements into test scenarios.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an Automation Tester.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of ISTQB testing principles; experience in life‑insurance applications is a plus.
