Python Software Engineer – AI (Contract, Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Python Software Engineer to work on AI‑focused projects for leading research labs. This is a remote, contract position that requires building and optimizing production‑grade Python systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex, production‑grade Python applications.
• Design modular, testable codebases using FastAPI, Pydantic and other modern Python tools.
• Profile and optimise performance, including memory management.
• Collaborate with foundational model AI labs to improve model training and evaluation.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Experience at top US technology companies.
• Proven track record delivering complex Python systems.
• Deep understanding of Python language fundamentals.
• Familiarity with best practices for FastAPI and Pydantic.
