Project Procurement Professional – Procurement Buyer

About the role

The Project Procurement Professional integrates procurement activities into the project management process from the earliest stages. You will coordinate, control, supervise and report all procurement actions, ensuring that strategies contribute maximally to the operating result while complying with corporate guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Support tender teams early on to optimise supplier selection.
• Define and enforce procurement strategies that align with corporate and division‑wide policies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities and documentation.
• Establish sourcing processes, control procurement execution and report achievements.
• Interpret customer specifications and apply them in supplier negotiations and contracts.
• Provide a cross‑functional approach to minimise risks and enhance project outcomes.
• Report progress to project managers and keep all stakeholders informed.
• Participate actively in planning and project review meetings.
• Conduct supplier management activities and apply defined supplier management strategies.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong negotiation and contract negotiation experience.
• Motivated, high social competence and ability to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of P&L and procurement controlling reporting.

Required skills

• SAP Ariba (or similar e‑procurement platform).
• eRFP and eAuction tools.
• Microsoft Office suite.
