Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives

About the role

Volkswagen Financial Services is looking for a Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across its global markets. You will ensure structured, scalable, and high‑quality delivery of complex IT projects while fostering alignment between business, IT, and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end delivery of projects, meeting milestones, scope, budget, and quality targets.
• Apply and adapt project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to suit each project’s context.
• Structure and manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and governance.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across Business, IT, Markets, and Vendors.
• Maintain financial transparency through budget planning, tracking, and forecasting.
• Identify, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate multiple teams to remove delivery blockers and ensure transparency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management standards, tools, and practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex IT projects in international environments.
• Strong ability to structure and drive execution across multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross‑functional or virtual project teams.
• Experience establishing and improving project governance, methodologies, and delivery practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
• Solid business and IT understanding with a pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset.
• High ownership, accountability, and delivery focus.
