Project Manager – Ports (Relocation to Africa)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Ports who is willing to relocate to Africa. You will lead consultancy and site‑supervision activities for port and marine infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate port and marine infrastructure projects from planning through construction supervision.
• Supervise consultancy and site‑supervision teams during project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, HSE compliance and contract performance.
• Review technical submissions, drawings, method statements and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates and risk assessments.
• Support procurement, budgeting, scheduling and contract administration activities.
• Lead site meetings and resolve technical and operational issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in port, marine or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in consultancy and construction/site‑supervision roles.
• Strong knowledge of port infrastructure, dredging, quay walls, terminals and marine works.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English.
• PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
