Project Manager – Grid & HV Projects (Portugal)

About the role

Q ENERGY is seeking a Project Manager to lead the grid connection phase of renewable energy projects in Portugal. You will act as the bridge between Engineering, Business Development, and Project Management, ensuring successful delivery of substation and high‑voltage line works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project designs, timelines, and budgets for grid connection (substations and HV lines).
• Ensure quality, schedule, and budget compliance throughout the construction phase.
• Supervise EPC contract terms with clients and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with grid operators (TSO/DNO) and handle administrative tasks.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams, maintain progress reports and virtual data rooms.
• Conduct on‑site supervision, enforce HSE standards, and identify technical risks.
• Review and approve project invoices and control costs according to internal directives.
• Support procurement during tendering and subcontractor selection for grid works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, or a related field.
• Proven experience with TSO/DNO (e.g., REN, ERedes) in connecting substations and HV lines.
• Strong technical expertise in managing subcontractor agreements and EPC coordination.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive risk‑management mindset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
