Project Manager – Fit-Out Works

About the role

CBRE Portugal is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead fit‑out works for retail property assets. You will manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from planning through construction, occupancy and close‑out, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of real‑estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy and close‑out.
• Interpret and apply standards to moderately complex construction documents.
• Work directly with clients to define requirements and expectations.
• Prepare scopes of work, resource plans, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, quality control plans and risk assessments.
• Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary project teams, providing guidance to achieve objectives.
• Implement communication plans, conduct regular meetings and produce status reports.
• Monitor progress against scope, budget, timeline and quality, reporting variances and corrective actions.
• Manage change control processes, assess impacts and obtain client approvals.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation or contingency plans.

Required profile

• Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced financial knowledge, including budgeting, cost control and financial analysis.
• Construction management experience covering both construction and MEP works.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and MEP drawings.
• Solid understanding of leases, contracts and construction practices.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on delivering results.
