Project Management Officer

About the role

KCS IT is looking for a motivated Project Management Officer to lead IT projects for banking and financial services clients. The role is based in Porto Salvo (Lisbon) and follows a hybrid work model, with occasional on‑site visits to the client’s office.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, scope and budget.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into clear specifications.
• Manage project budgets, financial tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate stakeholders, clients and cross‑functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce and maintain project documentation using Confluence and Azure DevOps.
• Apply both Scrum (Agile) and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Product Owner or similar role.
• Previous experience delivering banking or financial services projects (strongly preferred).
• Deep knowledge of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
• Fluent Portuguese (mandatory) and strong English communication skills.
• Proven stakeholder and client management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
