Project Engineer

About the role

As a Project Engineer at SBM Offshore, you will drive the planning, coordination and execution of offshore projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate project objectives into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets in collaboration with the project manager and stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction activities to meet project requirements.
• Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies and risk assessments to support decision‑making.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues and implement corrective actions to achieve milestones.
• Review technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies to maintain effective communication.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time‑management and organizational capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
