Project Buyer – Lead Purchasing Team

About the role

As a Project Buyer at Bosch's Aveiro site, you will lead a team of seven buyers in a global matrix environment, driving purchasing activities for electronics development projects and ensuring commercial readiness from design to series launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of buyers, set priorities, manage workload and ensure high‑performance culture.
• Act as Project Buyer for electronics NPI projects, coordinating RFQs, supplier qualification, industrialisation and launch.
• Guide category strategy for passive and active electronic components, negotiate price, contracts and capacity.
• Interface with R&D, Quality, Logistics, Controlling and manufacturing plants to align supplier communication.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks related to cost, lead‑time, tooling and lifecycle, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Proven experience leading purchasing professionals and managing project or NPI purchasing.
• Experience with international suppliers and cross‑functional stakeholders in a technical environment.
• Strong commercial understanding of cost structures, benchmarking and supplier performance.
