Project Buyer

About the role

As a Project Buyer you will be responsible for managing procurement activities for new product development within a fast‑growing global sanitary brand. You will work from our Albergaria site in a hybrid model, collaborating with international teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders across Europe, the US, China and Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project purchasing for new product development, ensuring cost, quality and timeline targets are met.
• Develop sourcing strategies for project components and conduct international purchasing of assemblies and parts.
• Select suppliers, lead contract negotiations and analyse supplier quotations.
• Monitor delivery schedules, cost efficiency and quality standards, and ensure material availability for product launches.
• Track tool and initial sample schedules, maintain project documentation and cost tracking.
• Support cost optimisation, complexity reduction initiatives and coordinate between project and series purchasing.
• Participate in global project meetings and manage supplier relationships and performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in project buying.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Experience working in international environments.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Technical understanding of materials such as electronics, plastics or tooling is desirable.
