Production Engineer – Aircraft Component & Engine Repair

About the role

Join a newly established MRO facility near Porto and play a key part in repairing aircraft components and engine parts for a leading global aviation provider. As a Production Engineer you will ensure airworthiness, optimise quality and cost, and develop alternative repair solutions while implementing OEM documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and repair services for specific aircraft components and engine parts across multiple sites.
• Prepare, review and approve maintenance documents, define repairs and tests, and perform technical and economic evaluations.
• Coordinate technical issues with production, support areas, customers and global management.
• Identify optimisation opportunities, develop alternative concepts and implement corrective measures.
• Track faults, technical complaints and limit exceedances, initiating remedial actions.
• Lead projects and perform special engineering tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in production or maintenance engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English.
• Willingness to travel for business and undertake longer assignments in Germany or other Lufthansa Technik sites.
• Right to live and work in Portugal.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS‑Office.
• Experience with SAP.
