Product Line QSE Manager

About the role

Akwel is seeking a Product Line QSE Manager to lead its Quality, Safety, Environment and Energy (QSE) initiatives across product development and change management. The role acts as the customer representative, ensures compliance with the QSE² management system, and drives continuous improvement in an industrial automotive equipment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the customer in project development and change management, ensuring expectations are reflected in CPP reviews and Engineering Change Requests.
• Oversee implementation of the AKWEL QSE² management system, monitor impact analyses, and propose system improvements.
• Plan and coordinate internal, external, and customer audits, working closely with the DQSE² Coordinator.
• Manage internal audits at the entity level, verify corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of incidents via QRQC and 8D processes.
• Coach the QSE2 team on problem‑solving tools and challenge conclusions.
• Act as AKWEL’s point of contact for internal and external suppliers on QSE² topics, verify reporting data, and trigger escalation when needed.
• Support Purchasing in supplier disputes and ensure proper documentation for sourced parts.
• Maintain the QSE2 organisational chart, assess employee skills using the skill matrix, and align resources with the AKWEL QSEE management system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing QSE functions within an industrial or automotive setting.
• Strong understanding of audit processes, corrective action management, and customer liaison.
• Ability to lead and develop a multidisciplinary QSE team.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
