Product Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Product Engineer to join EID’s Product Management team. The role bridges Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, driving the industrialisation, cost optimisation and lifecycle management of advanced defence solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the industrialisation of new products, applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to ensure a smooth hand‑over from development to production.
• Develop, maintain and manage product structures, article coding and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP/PLM environments.
• Calculate, monitor and optimise industrial product costs, identifying value‑engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate engineering change management processes and keep product documentation up‑to‑date throughout the product lifecycle.
• Monitor product reliability and component obsolescence, supporting risk mitigation and long‑term sustainability.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and R&D teams to support production activities, component qualification and continuous product improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in Product Engineering, industrialisation or New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management and industrial cost analysis.
• Experience with ERP and/or PLM systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.
