Product Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join our global engineering team in Santarém. You will help shape the design of products for cloud‑based environments, ensuring they meet market demands and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support the global engineering strategy and develop tailored design solutions for cloud‑centric products.
• Provide creative engineering expertise, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams (project management, sales, R&D, manufacturing) to integrate designs from concept through full‑scale production.
• Incorporate innovative technologies and sustainable practices into product offerings.
• Lead conceptualization and visualization of design projects, maintaining high standards at every development stage.
• Use advanced engineering tools to produce presentations and functional prototypes.
• Develop and apply standardized engineering practices to ensure consistency across regions.
• Report progress, milestones, and risks to the Lead Product Design Engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering or design role, preferably within data‑centre or construction contexts.
• Proven ability to work with critical‑infrastructure projects (oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, data‑centre).
• Strong English communication skills and willingness to travel occasionally.

What we offer

• Gross annual base salary of €24,000.
• Meal allowance of €9.50 per day via a meal card.
