Procurement Global Category Manager

About the role

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Procurement Global Category Manager to lead the management of all indirect categories across multiple markets. You will join a well‑established procurement function, reporting to the Head of Procurement and collaborating with peers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the procurement needs of General Managers, Finance Managers and Business Unit Heads, including new projects and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Ensure all procurement activities—policy compliance, supplier relationship and risk management, contract management, negotiations, and purchase‑to‑pay efficiency—follow Ferring’s standard operating procedures.
• Propose and implement new ways of working for the countries you support.
• Recommend strategic activities to central procurement and local sites.
• Travel as required to support global and regional initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience procuring a variety of indirect categories.
• Experience working in an international or multinational environment.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and business‑partner experience.
• Influencing and entrepreneurial skills to drive change at senior levels.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a global, remote organization.
