Portugal Country Controller (5‑month contract)

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead management controlling activities for local holding companies and service operations in Portugal, with limited supporting responsibilities in Spain. You will also monitor the financial performance of development projects in Portugal, ensuring accurate reporting and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial monitoring of three local operating holding companies and their service activities, producing and analysing monthly reports.
• Monitor external expenditures on development projects, verify cost allocation, and ensure spending aligns with approved budgets.
• Prepare analyses that explain business performance, investigate variances, and support operational teams in understanding financial results.
• Coordinate with project development, maintenance, operations, finance asset controllers, corporate finance, tax, shared services, and external partners.

Required profile

• Ability to become operational quickly and work autonomously.
• Strong analytical rigor and attention to detail.
• Experience in financial controlling or a similar finance role.
• Comfort interacting with diverse stakeholders in an international, matrix‑based environment.
