PHP Developer – Laravel & Angular (Web)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join its Portugal team. You will work on innovative web projects for international clients, using modern technologies and collaborating with multidisciplinary experts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance web applications with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to connect back‑end services with front‑end interfaces.
• Contribute to front‑end development using Angular, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code; conduct code reviews and manage version control with Git.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of hands‑on PHP development experience, strong knowledge of Laravel and MVC architecture.
• Familiarity with Angular or similar modern front‑end frameworks.
• Good understanding of database design and optimisation (MySQL or similar) and experience with ORM tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable working in agile, multicultural environments.
• Proactive, curious mindset with a passion for clean code and continuous improvement.
