Pharmacy Enrollment Analyst (San Juan, PR)

About the role

Optum is seeking a Pharmacy Enrollment Analyst to support Medicaid provider enrollments for its owned pharmacies in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The analyst will manage secondary licensing filings, ensure timely updates of pharmacy licenses, and maintain accurate records in the BLH system.

Key responsibilities

• Run reports from the BLH system and track secondary filings, including license expiration dates, filing status, and delivery method.
• Upload and submit current Board of Pharmacy, city/business, and DEA licenses to state Medicaid agencies via portals, email, fax, or paper.
• Maintain the BLH database by adding new enrollment records, updating dates, and verifying completeness of required information.
• Monitor incoming license notifications, record them in the Secondary Filings Tracker, and file documents in the shared pharmacy folder.
• Reset portal passwords as needed and keep the internal password tracker up‑to‑date.
• Communicate with state Medicaid agencies by phone or email to confirm receipt of documents and resolve any enrollment issues.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple licensing documents simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working with pharmacy licensing, Medicaid enrollment, or related regulatory processes.
• Ability to navigate state portals and handle confidential information securely.

Required skills

• Proficiency with database reporting tools (e.g., BLH or similar systems).
• Familiarity with electronic document management and tracking spreadsheets.
