Part‑Time English Teacher – Porto

About the role

The British Council is looking for enthusiastic part‑time English teachers to join its Porto teaching centre. You will deliver high‑quality face‑to‑face and online lessons to young learners, adults and corporate clients, supporting the organisation’s cultural‑relations mission.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across various formats and age groups.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and promote learner autonomy.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and complete required administrative tasks.
• Contribute to centre activities and share feedback to improve programmes.
• Collaborate with local colleagues and participate in national or international initiatives.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching English and fostering cross‑cultural understanding.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learner needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
