OT Technician (M/F/D)

About the role

The OT Technician will support, maintain, and improve Operational Technology (OT) systems used on the shop floor of Bontaz Portugal. Acting as a bridge between IT and production, you will ensure the reliability, availability, and security of industrial applications, networks, and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for OT hardware and software, including industrial PCs, SCADA and MES applications.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain industrial networks (IP, NAT, port forwarding, basic firewall rules).
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and application issues to keep production lines running.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, automation, and IT teams on deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management of OT assets.
• Ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity requirements and relevant industrial standards.
• Document configurations, incidents, and procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably automotive.
• Proactive, methodical, and able to work autonomously in a production context.
• Comfortable interacting with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders on the shop floor.
