Operator / Set Up – II

About the role

The Operator / Set Up – II is responsible for running medium‑ and heavy‑duty equipment in the Feeders area and performing set‑up of secondary machines. The role combines hands‑on equipment operation, quality inspection, and continuous‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and set‑up machines such as molding presses, stamping presses, hydraulic presses, milling machines, surface grinders, drills, coil winders and tapping machines.
• Perform TPM tasks, read and interpret engineering drawings, and inspect parts according to quality specifications.
• Use calibrated measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, pin gauge, thread gauge, Go/No‑Go gauge, optical comparator).
• Document production data (scrap, routing sheets), move materials, and adjust processes based on Kanban priorities.
• Operate material‑handling equipment (forklift, crane) and follow operational standards (MESH, LEAN, ERP).
• Participate in Kaizen events, report safety issues, and may train other operators.

Required profile

• Trained to operate the listed equipment and follow safety, environmental and quality procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform precise measurements.
• Willingness to work under guidance when needed and to contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Operation of molding presses, stamping presses, hydraulic presses, milling machines, surface grinders.
• Set‑up of drills, coil winders, tapping machines.
• TPM execution and Lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Use of caliper, micrometer, height gauge, pin gauge, thread gauge, Go/No‑Go gauge, optical comparator.
• Forklift and crane operation.
• Familiarity with MESH, LEAN, ERP, Kaizen, Kanban systems.
