Operator I – Production Equipment Operator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Operator I to work on complex production equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role involves setting up, adjusting, and performing minor repairs on machinery while ensuring product quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and perform minor repairs on production equipment.
• Operate equipment and monitor machines for proper performance.
• Conduct measurement checks, die adjustments, and visual inspections.
• Clean equipment and maintain organized work areas.
• Create labels, bag, tag, and palletize finished products.
• Use batch trace systems and accurately update batch boards.
• Wrap, move, and handle finished products and materials.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and execute production changeovers.
• Dispose of scrap materials according to procedures.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport materials and finished goods.
• Maintain and verify production documentation and records.
• Provide operator coverage during breaks and shift transitions.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMP standards, and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Silver score on the Career Readiness Certificate.
• Industrial or mechanical experience preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and third‑shift coverage.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
• Legible handwriting and accurate numbering.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety rules.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Use of hand tools and basic equipment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Knowledge of extrusion processes (a plus).
• Experience with batch trace systems.
