Operations Quality Lead

About the role

The Operations Quality Lead ensures that SBM Offshore’s operations and readiness to operate align with the company’s Quality Policy, Management System, and relevant industry standards. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability across offshore and onshore activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of the Company’s Management System and related processes.
• Support Operations Management in understanding certification requirements and sustaining compliance.
• Plan and conduct internal assurance activities to identify gaps in system implementation and performance.
• Investigate findings, perform root‑cause analyses, and define corrective actions.
• Report and investigate quality events, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify potential quality issues, and implement mitigations.
• Coordinate assurance activities across Operations disciplines and facilitate Management Reviews.
• Lead external assurance activities such as certification audits and represent the Company.
• Ensure continuous certification against ISO 9001, ISM Code, and compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Maintain effective interfaces with certification bodies.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Naval or Marine Engineering preferred, but not mandatory).
• Qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (preferred, not mandatory).
• At least 10 years of experience in FPSO projects and/or operations, preferably across multiple lifecycle phases and departments.
• International career experience is a plus.

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISM Code, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
