Operational Risk & Permanent Control Officer

About the role

Inetum is looking for an Operational Risk and Permanent Control Officer to join its finance team. You will help identify, assess and monitor operational risks while supporting the internal control framework across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor operational risks across business activities.
• Support implementation and maintenance of the internal control framework.
• Analyse incidents, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of controls and ensure proper execution.
• Contribute to risk assessments and Risk & Control Self‑Assessments (RCSA).
• Track remediation actions and ensure timely implementation of recommendations.
• Support governance committees and prepare risk and control reporting.
• Promote risk awareness and a strong control culture across teams.
• Review operational processes and propose improvements to mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Risk Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in operational risk, internal control, audit, compliance or a similar role within financial services.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Proactive mindset with strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Fluency in English.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
