Mixed Signal Design Engineer – High‑Speed ICs

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems is seeking an Analog Mixed‑Signal Design Engineer to join its fast‑growing semiconductor team in Portugal. You will work on high‑speed interface ICs such as low‑jitter buffers, SERDES and CDR circuits using advanced deep‑submicron (28 nm and below) FinFET processes.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design, simulate and verify analog and mixed‑signal blocks from transistor level up to system level.
• Develop major circuit blocks for high‑speed IC products and integrate them into full‑chip solutions.
• Participate in the complete product development cycle, from concept through silicon release.
• Create validation environments, perform behavior modeling, and debug test results.
• Document analog‑digital interface specifications and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• BSEE with 3+ years or MS/PhD with 2+ years of ASIC/mixed‑signal design experience.
• Hands‑on experience with high‑speed custom circuit design in DSM/FinFET technologies.
• Strong understanding of analog/mixed‑signal circuits such as amplifiers, references, ADC/DAC, PLL/CDR, PI, DFE/CTLE, and TX blocks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
