Mid-Level Java Developer – French B2 – Remote

About the role

Aubay Portugal is looking for a mid‑level Java developer to join its financial‑services team. The position is fully remote and requires strong French communication skills (minimum B2). You will work on critical banking and insurance systems that serve millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance robust Java applications for the financial sector.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, coding, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Fluent in French (C1 level) and able to work in an English‑speaking environment.
