Merchandise Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Merchandise Assistant to support our Global Buying Offices in Europe. The role will handle purchase orders, vendor communication and sample management, ensuring smooth merchandise flow for our off‑price retail brands.

Key responsibilities

• Enter purchase orders accurately and timely for buyers across multiple departments.
• Follow up on late orders, upcoming shipments and complete balances as needed.
• Process purchase order modifications such as delivery extensions, cancellations, cost and retail changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts Payable, Planning, Distribution, Fulfillment) to resolve issues.
• Communicate with vendors regarding PO changes, shipment status and other inquiries.
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure correct vendor shipments.
• Create and run reports for buyers (On Order, Sales, etc.).
• Organize and maintain merchandise samples and sample space, including returns to vendors.
• Assist in preparing for Style Out and Strategy meetings by gathering samples and preparing recaps.
• Support buyers with special projects such as trend recaps and boards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Self‑directed and able to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
