Mechanical Design & Simulation Engineer

About the role

Allient is looking for a Mechanical Design & Simulation Engineer to develop high‑performance integrated drive solutions for industrial, automotive and aerospace markets. You will translate concepts into detailed designs, run advanced simulations, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust, thermally‑optimized systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create thermal, electrical and kinematic simulation models for motion‑control solutions.
• Perform FEA and CFD analyses with ANSYS to evaluate structural, thermal and vibro‑acoustic performance.
• Develop testing platforms, fixtures and test benches, and conduct performance, thermal and vibration testing.
• Apply thermodynamic principles to design high‑power‑density systems.
• Develop and validate algorithms and models in Matlab, Simulink or Python to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with electronics, software and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Contribute to R&D projects and define innovative mechanical engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (focus on structural, machine design, vibrations or thermal).
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in mechanical design and simulation.
• Strong foundation in thermal analysis and problem‑solving.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
