Mechanical Design Engineer – Heat Pump Solutions

About the role

Join Bosch's Superstructure team in Aveiro, focused on the mechanical design and development of heat‑pump solutions. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will turn complex requirements into robust, manufacturable products while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of components and assemblies for new and existing heat‑pump solutions, ensuring performance, manufacturability and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and execute Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for quality improvements, cost optimisation and new feature integration.
• Maintain accurate article statuses, part numbers and Bill of Materials in Siemens Teamcenter Engineering and SAP.
• Collaborate with local and international teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and transfer engineering results to production.
• Support the development of future generations of electric appliances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in appliance, HVAC or electronics housing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for plastics, sheet metal, die‑casting, bending and joining methods.
• Creative, analytical, results‑oriented and a strong team player.

Required skills

• Siemens NX / UG‑NX (3D CAD)
• Siemens Teamcenter Engineering (PDM)
• SAP R3 – Engineering Change Management
• Jira for requirement engineering and Agile sprint management (advantage)
• Experience with ECR and BOM management in series production.
