Material Handler I

About the role

Join STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies as a Material Handler I, supporting the safe movement and processing of customer products in a high-growth sterilization environment. The role is physically demanding and requires attention to quality, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Transfer products from raw storage to processing areas and load/unload processed items for shipment.
• Review product documentation and customer requirements to ensure correct handling.
• Monitor and operate equipment used for product movement, performing minor repairs and reporting major failures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support inventory control by receiving, labeling and storing products.
• Document processing activities, apply corrective actions and use monitoring devices according to specifications.
• Follow organizational policies, quality standards and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Approximately two years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (preferred).
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Strong communication skills and basic math proficiency.

Required skills

• Basic computer system skills.
• Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
