Marketing Manager – AI & Cybersecurity

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to shape the external voice of an ambitious AI‑driven cybersecurity startup based in Portugal. This hands‑on position will own brand positioning, create technical content, and drive visibility across key digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute marketing initiatives aligned with business growth objectives.
• Develop a consistent, credible brand voice across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, the company blog, and the website.
• Create high‑quality technical content such as blog posts, deep‑dive explainers, whitepapers, and research articles.
• Build relationships with cybersecurity media, industry partners, and relevant communities.
• Identify AI and cybersecurity trends, news hooks, and PR opportunities to boost engagement.
• Support conference and industry‑event activities with announcements, live coverage, and post‑event content.
• Collaborate with founders, product, sales, design, and technical teams to translate expertise into compelling stories.
• Manage lightweight marketing operations, including content calendars, external contractors, and deadlines.
• Track performance metrics, prepare monthly reports, and optimize activities based on results.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to improve content creation, research, and distribution workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in marketing, social media, or content creation.
• Demonstrated experience within the cybersecurity industry or a closely related technical domain.
• Proven ability to produce sophisticated technical content (blogs, whitepapers, research articles).
• Strong track record of growing and engaging a professional audience on social media platforms.
