Manufacturing Engineering – Process Engineer

About the role

Aptiv is looking for a Process Engineer to join its Process/Industrial Engineering team. The role supports product lines from prototype validation through series production, driving lean deployment and continuous improvement across global plants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering resources for product line support and MQ2 training.
• Define and implement manufacturing standards such as workplace organization, internal material routes, Kanban, visual systems, buffer planning, and changeover procedures.
• Establish and monitor Manufacturing Engineering KPIs (routing, line balancing, equipment utilization, changeover standards).
• Drive standard implementation across all AS&UX plants and ensure compliance.
• Deliver onsite or virtual training to Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance, and Operations on equipment functionality.
• Optimize material flow, inventory definitions, internal packaging calculations, and floor‑space utilization.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of TPS, Lean concepts, flow manufacturing, and material movement.
• Ability to summarise standards and conduct effective training.
• Enjoys Gemba observation and Kaizen activities.
• Strong influencing skills and fluent English.
• Willingness to travel internationally for workshops or equipment validation.
