About the role

Mastercard is shaping the standards that will define trust in the next generation of digital commerce. As a Manager, Industry Standards you will lead the company’s engagement with global blockchain and digital‑asset standards bodies, translating emerging standards into practical frameworks that enable secure, interoperable transactions at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Support Mastercard’s participation in standards organizations such as BSSC, ISO and ANSI, influencing security and operational standards for blockchain and digital assets.
• Define Mastercard’s positions on topics like blockchain security, digital‑asset controls and interoperability frameworks.
• Lead the operationalisation of blockchain security standards into measurable controls, conformance criteria, assessment methodologies, certification programmes and audit frameworks.
• Partner with internal teams (Security Solutions, Blockchain & Digital Assets, Legal, Product) to align standards strategy with business priorities.
• Develop approaches for security assurance, independent assessment, conformance validation and trust signalling across blockchain ecosystems.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry peers, regulators and ecosystem partners shaping blockchain standards.
• Support thought‑leadership initiatives and market engagement activities related to standards development.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading standards‑related initiatives in blockchain or digital‑asset domains.
• Strong ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external standards bodies.
• Excellent communication skills for representing Mastercard in industry forums.
