Maintenance Operator – Plant Machinery & Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Operator ensures that plant machinery, equipment, and facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will work on both preventive and corrective tasks, supporting continuous production while adhering to strict safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and technical systems according to established plans.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or technical faults and execute repairs within defined authority.
• Support scheduled maintenance activities and respond promptly to unplanned breakdowns.
• Follow internal procedures, technical documentation, and safety requirements for all tasks.
• Coordinate maintenance work with production and other plant partners to minimise disruptions.
• Record completed work, inspections, and findings in the maintenance management system.
• Identify spare‑part needs, report inventory requirements, and assist with minor building repairs.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and food‑safety regulations and report non‑standard situations.

Required profile

• Secondary technical or vocational education in mechanics, electrical systems, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in industrial or plant maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methods.
• Basic computer skills for using maintenance systems and documentation.
• Reliability, responsibility, and capacity to work independently.
• Willingness to work in physically demanding, operational plant environments.
