Linux Systems Administrator (SRE)

About the role

We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join Aubay Portugal’s operations team. You will ensure the reliability, performance and security of production systems that support critical services for large organisations across banking, insurance, telecom and energy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot production Linux systems to guarantee high availability.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and operational processes using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager.
• Automate deployments and routine tasks with CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Bash or Python scripts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise infrastructure and document procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and support.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in Operations Engineering, SRE or Systems Administration.
• Strong Linux administration background.
• Fluent English with solid communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Interest in AI tooling, open‑source technologies and modern infrastructure practices.
• Alignment with corporate ethics, customer focus and teamwork.
