Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join Aubay Portugal’s operations team. You will ensure the reliability, performance and security of production systems that support critical services for large organisations across banking, insurance, telecom and energy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot Linux‑based production environments to guarantee high availability.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions while improving monitoring and alerting.
• Automate deployments and operational tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Bash or Python scripts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise infrastructure, document procedures and provide on‑call support.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Operations Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or Systems Administration.
• Strong Linux administration skills and hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible and PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash or Python and solid troubleshooting abilities.
• Fluent English, good communication skills and an interest in AI tooling, open‑source technologies and modern infrastructure practices.
