Linux System Administrator – Porto

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Linux System Administrator to join our team in Porto. You will be responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining critical infrastructure services across enterprise Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer daily Linux tasks on RHEL, Oracle Linux, and Rocky Linux.
• Perform deep OS‑level troubleshooting, incident analysis, and root‑cause remediation.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and tools such as Bash, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Maintain infrastructure code and configurations with Git, following best‑practice version‑control procedures.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other technical stakeholders to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Optimize storage, virtualization, cloud, and network performance.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure high availability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional system‑administration experience.
• Strong proactive mindset focused on automation and efficiency.
• Hands‑on expertise with enterprise Linux distributions.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.
