Legal Counsel

About the role

Vantage Towers is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its operations in Portugal. You will work at the strategic intersection of law, business, and regulatory affairs, ensuring the company complies with evolving legal frameworks while enabling commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice on civil law, contract law, and public procurement matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including leases, partnerships, and supplier contracts.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders.
• Support compliance with regulatory and group policies, public tender procedures, and certification processes such as ISO 50001.
• Assist with litigation matters in coordination with external counsel.
• Contribute to corporate governance activities, internal trainings, and awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• University Master’s Degree in Law.
• Post‑graduate specialization in a relevant legal field.
• Experience advising business units on legal and regulatory issues, preferably in the telecom or infrastructure sector.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations, finance, and senior leadership.

Required skills

• Expertise in civil law, contract law, and public procurement.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to monitor and interpret regulatory changes.
• Experience with public tender procedures (Public Contracts Code).
• Knowledge of ISO 50001 certification and ESG‑related legal requirements.
