Legal Associate – Startup, AI & International Focus

About the role

Join BRIDGE IN as a Legal Associate and work on real contracts, advise international clients, and interact with government agencies from day one. This remote internship blends traditional legal practice with AI‑driven tools, giving you early exposure to the future of legal work in a fast‑growing tech startup.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and analyse client and supplier agreements (NDAs, sales contracts, vendor agreements) with guidance and increasing ownership.
• Support clients on Portuguese legal‑compliance queries, acting as a reliable point of contact.
• Assist the operations team in ensuring compliance across subsidiary management and employment matters under Portuguese Labour Law.
• Draft and maintain public‑facing documents such as terms of use, privacy policies and GDPR‑related disclaimers.
• Execute legal operations that require representation, including power‑of‑attorney mandates and direct interaction with governmental agencies.
• Monitor regulatory changes in Portugal and flag any impact on clients or the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
• Based in Portugal, under 35 years old and eligible for the +Talento IEFP program.
• Enrolled in or admitted to the Ordem dos Advogados (strong plus).
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken, with legal‑level precision.
• Working knowledge of Portuguese Labour Law, Company Law and GDPR fundamentals.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage workload independently.
