Lead iOS Engineer

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Lead iOS Engineer to join a platform‑focused team. You will contribute hands‑on code while raising the technical bar for architecture, quality, and AI‑assisted delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑quality iOS platform features for consumer‑facing products.
• Define and evolve a modular MVVM architecture, applying modern patterns such as TCA or Clean Architecture.
• Integrate third‑party SDKs and cloud‑connected services into the iOS app.
• Work across networking layers, API integrations, and backend‑connected mobile functionality.
• Support Cloud Code implementation where required.
• Own end‑to‑end iOS development, providing guidance through code reviews, pairing, and architecture discussions.
• Establish testing strategies and quality practices to improve release confidence.
• Leverage AI‑assisted engineering tools to enhance code quality, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and tooling.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, surface risks early, and keep progress visible across time zones.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Swift and modern Swift Concurrency (async/await, actors, structured concurrency).
• Proven track record of shipping production iOS applications at scale.
• Deep knowledge of MVVM and modern architectural patterns (TCA, Clean Architecture, etc.).
• Experience leading technical discussions and influencing engineering best practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, API integration, error handling, and mobile‑backend interaction.
