Junior QA Test Engineer – Manual Testing (Lisbon)

About the role

Bose is looking for a Junior QA Test Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team in Lisbon. You will be responsible for manual testing of consumer audio products such as headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and home‑theater systems, ensuring new features and firmware updates work reliably in real‑world conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute high‑impact manual and exploratory testing on high‑risk, customer‑critical areas.
• Run structured test plans, document reproducible results, and validate new features, firmware updates, and bug fixes.
• Test Bluetooth workflows including pairing, reconnection, stability, and interoperability.
• Investigate and debug issues by analyzing logs, traces, and system behavior.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and isolate defects.
• Contribute to test strategy, regression coverage, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Learn automation frameworks and support functional, API, and system‑level testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals and object‑oriented design principles.
• Foundational knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality engineering principles.
• Analytical, critical‑thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to grasp large‑scale system architecture and component interactions.
