Junior Product Development Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a Junior Product Development Engineer to join our team in Aveiro. You will support the design, development and testing of aluminium access solutions such as ladders and step stools, working under the guidance of a senior engineer throughout the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in designing new aluminium products, creating and updating technical drawings.
- Support prototype construction and conduct product testing.
- Collaborate with production, sales and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and market fit.
- Research materials, components and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required profile
- Basic experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion, Inventor or similar).
- Strong interest in product design and mechanical engineering.
- Good problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers.
